Each year the Florida Reading Association (FRA) invites pre-kindergarten through second grade students state-wide to participate in voting for the Florida Children's Book Award. All votes are due by this Friday. The votes in our classroom this year were VERY close!!!
In first place with 8 votes was: I Always, Always Get My Way by Thad Kresnesky
In second place with 7 votes was: What's In The Egg Little Pip? by Karma Wilson
And in Third place with 6 votes was: Ugly Pie by Lisa Wheeler
What great books that were nominated this year! They are definitely all worth checking out of your local public library and reading again with your child at home! We'll find out soon what Beauclerc's overall winning choice was, and what the state-wide winning choice was!
