Science Experiment

Our Question:  Which kind of chocolate (milk or dark) will melt in our hands the fastest?
Our Hypothesis:  We think milk chocolate will melt the fastest because most of us have eaten milk chocolate and had it melt on our fingers before.
Our Materials:  dark chocolate, milk chocolate, hands, 2 different colored sticky notes
Our Procedure:
1. Make a circle on the carpet.
2. Pass out the pink & yellow sticky notes.
3. Passs out the milk and dark chocolate.
4. The chocolate piece goes in your hands.
5. We wait for 1 minute.
6.  We look at our hands to see which one melted the fastest.

 Milk Chocolate Mess!
  Milk Chocolate Mess!

Our Conclusion:  Milk chocolate melts faster than dark chocolate in our hands!

FRA Book Winner In Our Class

Each year the Florida Reading Association (FRA) invites pre-kindergarten through second grade students state-wide to participate in voting for the Florida Children's Book Award. All votes are due by this Friday.
The votes in our classroom this year were VERY close!!!

In first place with 8 votes was: I Always, Always Get My Way by Thad Kresnesky
In second place with 7 votes was: What's In The Egg Little Pip? by Karma Wilson
And in Third place with 6 votes was: Ugly Pie by Lisa Wheeler

What great books that were nominated this year! They are definitely all worth checking out of your local public library and reading again with your child at home! We'll find out soon what Beauclerc's overall winning choice was, and what the state-wide winning choice was!
