Cultural Arts Day

Our day started off with a great parade...
The Wolfson band was wonderful, and we even got to see Ms. Kornblum ride on a motorcycle!

We watched an artist take us on an "artistic trip" around the world...

We met an author...

...and enjoyed a Caribbean carnival!

Field Trip to the Jacksonville Zoo

What a fun day at the zoo!
A BIG thanks to all our chaperones who were able to come with us and help out!
We REALLY appreciate you all!

We spent some time in the educational classroom at the zoo and were able to learn more about living and non living things.
We got to see some animals up close and were even able to touch them if we wanted to!






Ms. Hunt wasn't too excited to touch the snake...

Since we are working on penguin reports in writers workshop right now, the students were very excited to see the Magellanic penguins at the zoo!

What a LONG and tiring day at the zoo... some of us even zonked out on the bus ride home... :)
