The regular homework is not going home today, since we only have 3 school days next week. (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) Instead, today we are sending home a book log, and the homework is only to record the books your child is reading each day for the next 17 days.
Have a great spring break next week!
We'll see you all back to school on Monday April 12th! :)

Cultural Arts Day
Today was JAM-PACKED with fun!! Thanks to our PTA, we went right from one fun activity to the next all day long!
Our day started off with a parade and a marching band...
Then we went to go watch "Healthy Herb" who taught us about healthy food and our digestive system...
After "Healthy Herb", we went to see an artist who taught us how to draw this cute dog that's catching a frisbee. Our class did such a great job drawing their own! :)
Then, first grade went to our VERY OWN SNOW STORM, right here at Beauclerc...
We ended our day by going to a play called "Cassie at the Bat". What a fun day! :)

St Patirck's Day Fun
In Math Investigations today we sorted Lucky Charms cereal and used the pieces as manipulative's to do our math work with.
After lunch, we had fun making 2 crafts...a shamrock man and a pot of gold with our picture in it. Here are some pictures of us at work today. :)

It Looks Like We Had A Visitor!
When we all came into the classroom this morning, it looked like someone had come and moved things around on us. Chairs and pillows were moved, the numbers on our calendar were mixed up, and someone had decorated the room with green St. Patricks Day garland. When we looked into our meeting area, we saw a pot of gold with a note by it that said "Read Me". Here is a picture of the note we found! Justin and Ella look so confused at the mess we found!

Having Fun With Alfalfa Again
As a reward for our great behavior this week, we had another chance to spend a few minutes watching Alfalfa our class guinea pig play. He doesn't seem to like his big toy ball, so we took him out and let him sniff around instead. The students just love him!
