Spelling Words October 10 - October 17
This weeks spelling words are high frequency and short "a" words.

This week in math we are working on being able to say and write our numbers 1-100. Please work with your child on this. Even if you are just driving in the car, you can use that time to count up to 100 with them. We will also be exploring number patterns and counting by 10's, 5's, and 2's.

This week in writers workshop we are adding great endings to our narrative stories. We have been talking about endings that have a sense of closure such as "that was a day I will never forget". Please talk to your child about what they are writing in school and what great endings they could use.
Don't forget to be reading with your child for at least 20 minutes each night, it is so important for their success this year! Thanks for your continued support from home.
